A History of Giving


Since 1978, Oakhurst Sierra Rotary has been giving back to the community and to the world.  We have several annual programs of giving including:


Wood Project:  Each year, we offer firewood to area families in need, so that they can keep their families warm during our cold season.  If you or someone you know can use some help in this area, please let us know via the contact page.  Be sure to include how we can contact you and how you/they might benefit from this service.


Thanksgiving at the Senior Center:  We love sharing our Thanksgiving with our area seniors!  With lots of  help from area high school students, we serve up a complete Thanksgiving feast for about 150 people at lunch time the week before Thanksgiving.


Rotary Santa:  During the holiday season, members of our club and others pitch in to make Christmas special for those who are struggling.  We work with agencies in the area to distribute gift cards to local grocery stores that can be used for food and toys.
